PROJECT: Avis Tour Guide

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Avis Portugal became the first Portuguese rent-a-car to offer its exclusive TourGuide service. Developed by toGuide, the product Avis Portugal was installed in Rent a Car’s GPS, in order to offer an exclusive audio experience.

ACTIONS: Script editing and adaptation for GPS Audio Tour, translation, audio tour in 3 languages, with Sound Design, TourGuide with more than 80 points of interest (POIs), photos, multilingual text, business hours of the points of interest , contact, audio commentaries triggered by proximity.

This application brings together the best and most up-to-date navigation technology and the Audio TourGuide function. With the inclusion of the GPS integrated speaker or alternatively the connection to the car radio, the audio guidance can be easily heard by all passengers.

Routes have been created according to the objectives and strategy of the company Avis Portugal, taking into consideration the profiles of rental visitors. The audio info provided during the Tour takes visitors in a journey through history, culture, and the country's customs, without overlooking some secrets and moments of humor.

The system has other capacities and possibilities that cannot be found in the typical applications for mobile terminals. It was created taking into account its use for buses, taxis and transfer services.
